Susan is a photographer based in Melbourne with a passion for street
photography. Her interest in photography grew from a love for travel and the
constant desire to capture the essence of a time, a place and its people.
Exhibiting her street photography in solo and group exhibitions in and around
Melbourne, Susan is the recipient of national awards from the Australian
Photographic Society and Australian Institute of Professional Photographers. Her
work has been published in Australia’s professional photography magazines,
including Capture and Australian Photography.
Susan holds a number of volunteer roles within the Melbourne Camera Club and
is Exhibition Coordinator and on the Board of Directors. She is also the President
of the Australian Association of Street Photographers.
A common theme in Susan’s work is impermanence and incongruence. Each
theme captures the essence of the decisive moment. She employs shape, colour
and form with abstraction, to create interesting scenes of everyday life.
The stimulation that photography provides, is what drives me. I enjoy communicating stories through a visual medium.
